Like Ghosts thru the Fog

I turn my lovers into works of art. It’s more than they deserve. Some of them are songs I sing late into the night. Some of them are poems I write when I can’t sleep. Some of them are paintings, abstract and free from feeling. Some of them are conversations with four walls confessing all the things that went unsaid. Some of them are lies I tell myself for my own well-being. Some of them drown mercifully in a bottle of cheap wine. Some of them go up in smoke from the cigarette in my hand. Another bad habit I’ve acquired. Some of them just disappear. Thank God.

  2. I love “Angel,” too. There you used to be a great clip of Stevie doing “ange,” live at the US Festival in ‘83 but it’s been taken down. I also love “Garbo,” and, of course, “Silver Spring.”
